My Personal Statement
I think that I should graduate because I have changed a lot since my sixth grade year to my eighth. Throughout those three years I have matured and learned a valuable lesson. That you should never quit under any circumstance even if you think it is near impossible. This one phrase alone could take me far in life because it could help me with life, education, or anything in between.
Rise had taught me to be more involved with my community, and not just in school. That I have to give back and share the joy that I have from me with other people. I could be a better person by simply maybe just helping others to change lives, to give back, to start something that could help others, to become above and beyond in my grades, to rise. The mission alone helps me learn more about what I should do with my future than anything else. I could become someone better than I am now. Even if that better might not see eye to eye with society.
The community service showed me that not everything could be perfect no matter how much you want it to be. Learning how to appreciate my life for how it is. And to use my abilities that have been granted to me for good things like better grades or helping others. I can't just explain how lucky I feel to not have any disabilities that other people may have and I could use that to my advantage to help others.
